The pots come with a set: a paintbrush, some paint, a daffodil and bulb. You will able to buy the pots that everyone has painted and filled. Watch the newsletter to hear when they’ll be on sale.
Our school as you know have new class charters every year. Some of them are Annoying Orange, Sponge Bob and Despicable Me. Class charters our very popular in our school. Our schools class charters system is we have a blind vote then see who has the most votes.
We have voted for some new school councillors and they are happy to help the school and make it as good as it can be! In the hall we voted with special papers in special boxes. We were helped by the Hampshire’s councillors Sarah and Mike. They were nice.
On Monday 9th June, 8 schools in Basingstoke gathered together at Oakley Infants School for a special RRR event. It was based around this year’s Day for Change key right ‘ the right to education’ (Article 28). We began by thinking about what we ‘want’ and ‘need’ to tget this right. Each school taught another school a special talent as they took on the role as teachers for the afternoon. The children taught skills such as origami, sign language, violin playing and dancing from another country (Ghana). Fairfields RRR ambassadors taught others how to juggle and how to draw a dolphin!
On Wednesday 12th 2014 some these following school councillors went to Castle Hill Infant School:
We went on some learning walks around the school and we did a special assembly to introduce Fairfields School Council to the whole of Castle Hill Infant School. Their school councillors showed us around their playground and they also joined us for lunch. We wrote down some notes about their school that we didn’t have. Castle Hill Infant School will be visiting us again and they will hopefully be doing a special assembly for our school too. We had a good look around their school and we learned a lot about their school at what they do. It was a successful visit and we hope to visit them again.
